|Our Care Team|
The doctors and nurses work together closely to provide necessary care and treatment for babies in the NICU. Your baby’s doctor may be a pediatrician or a family medicine physician. Often, pediatricians are called in to consult on an infant’s condition. Our doctors make daily visits to the NICU, and will be notified immediately if the infant’s condition warrants. The nurses that care for your infant(s) in the NICU have been trained to care for critically-ill newborns. Depending on the child’s condition, other staff members such as dietitians, respiratory therapists, phlebotomists, and radiology techs, may also be involved with his/her care.
